Personal Stress Management
Stress is different in every individual. Everyone has their own circumstances that cause stress. As we grow we know that the things that caused us stress as teenagers are just minor annoyances. When we talk about personal stress management, we talk about learning more about our particular type of stress and practicing stress management techniques that work for us.
Learning to cope with stress gives us a huge advantage in life and can save us from many health problems – at the same time it will improve the life of everybody around us. You know, the things that cause us stress will always be there (in most cases), and even when they are gone, more will come. We can’t change them, BUT we can change the way WE deal with them!
So let’s start by accepting the fact that stress is part of our lives, and has always been. Not all stress is bad, in fact it is great to feel stressed before a competition or something like that because it gives us power. Not all stress is bad. Accept stress, make it your friend, manage it and you’ll find a key for better living.
Next, for personal stress management, you’ll need to identify your personal stressors. If we don’t know what cause stress, we can’t manage it. Keep a notepad and observe yourself – this step is critical – take note of your possible stressors and the signs and symptoms you feel.
Finally, you’ll need to apply stress relieving activities. There are great ways to eliminate stress, anxiety and fear throughout the day: laughter, exercise and even dieting. This step should be fun, and will only make your life better. We invite you to learn more about techniques and personal stress management tips in the site.
