If you happen to feel like you are having a really hard time and that nothing seems to be going right and that you may never get to a good place in your life or even find a safe place, it is probably time for you to consider the twin issues of depression and anxiety. Depression and anxiety feed off each other and there are very good reasons for this. At the main level you may find that the depression side of the equation is something that can very easily result from a state where you may feel like there is nothing you can do. Anxiety on the other hand will result from the fear of the consequences that comes from the helplessness. When you look at the two sides, you need to figure out how you will be able to solve them in your own life.

One of the first things that you need to do is to be able to get out of the environment that you are currently in. It does not matter where you are feeling the most upset or where you may be staying, you must remember, that both anxiety and depression will have a lot to do with the physical place that you happen to be at. This could be a factor of both habit and memory or maybe there are other factors at work, but if you happen to remove yourself from the current situation, even if its just for a couple of hours, it will definitely help. When you are suffering from anxiety and depression you will soon find that it is time for you to change your environment. You need to remember and keep it in your mind at all times that change is possible even if you do not necessarily believe it.

You should also take time to exercise. When you exercise it gives your body you will produce natural endorphins which actually goes a long ways towards soothing some of the chemical issues that have to deal with depression. It will also have a positive effect on your anxiety as well. In a lot of situations your anxiety can be made much worse when you are building up stress and that stress does not have either a good or reliable outlet. When these situations occur it will manifest itself in several different ways including such things as crying for no reason, or lashing out at someone among others. So go out and get some exercise and see if in doing this you can blow off a little stress in your life.

Another factor that you may want to consider when you are looking at treating anxiety and depression is figuring out the trigger points. Look for things that can send you into a downward spiral or makes everything bleak and dark in your life. It may be a similar time in your life or even just as small as the seasons changing. When you are able to tell what sets you off you may be able to tell that you can avoid it all together or at least be able to brace yourself for it.

You need to remember that you are not alone. There are millions of people who suffer from anxiety and depression each and every day. Knowing the triggers can help you seek the help that you may need.
